Licensees from Central and Eastern Europe had a chance to exchange best practices in several key areas related to running successful ECDL operations.  The main part of the meeting was dedicated to sales and marketing, and to European funding, which plays a significant role in business development.

All the participants were very proactive in their discussions, and after seeing the impressive marketing and PR campaigns of ECDL Romania, they all agreed that there is a need to revise the marketing and PR activities in their own countries.

During a session dedicated to European funding, representatives of ECDL Romania were able to show the importance of the operational structure which allows them to develop proposals for third parties including: test centres, public administration units, and other organisations which have neither the required skills nor resources to prepare the applications.
