Now in its fifth year, eLearning Africa continues to build and expand its worldwide network of people involved in all aspects of technology-enhanced education and training in Africa, including management and policymaking. As with previous conferences, eLearning Africa 2010 will be conducted in both English and French. ICDL Africa will be sending a delegation to the event.

ECDL Foundation, in conjunction with ICDL Singapore and ICS Skills, has completed two case studies in these areas. The Singapore case study outlines the case of the Singapore Government (through its National Workforce Development Agency) adopting ICDL as an economic recovery measure.

Licensees from Central and Eastern Europe had a chance to exchange best practices in several key areas related to running successful ECDL operations.  The main part of the meeting was dedicated to sales and marketing, and to European funding, which plays a significant role in business development.

Korea Productivity Center (KPC) has begun its support for the non-governmental organisation, Good Neighbors International (GNI)*. As the ICDL Licensee for Korea, KPC will provide financial support to GNI with funds deriving from ICDL test fees. KPC will donate 100 Korean Won (approx. USD 8 cents) of the testing fee for each ICDL test taken by a candidate in Korea.
